WordPress Care · From R499/month

Your Website Shouldn't Need
To Break First.

Updates, backups, security, uptime monitoring and real monthly checks — handled by FUTR, so nobody finds out your contact form died three weeks ago from a customer who gave up.

No support hours you'll never use · Larger changes quoted separately

When did you last test your contact form?

A website can look completely normal and still be quietly broken. Nothing on the homepage tells you that enquiries stopped arriving, that a plugin update knocked out the mobile layout, or that the form has been failing silently since the last PHP upgrade.

Most business owners find out when a customer mentions it. By then you've no idea how many didn't bother.

Your Website Doesn't Maintain Itself.

Even if you never touch a word of it, the software underneath keeps moving. Four things need someone watching them.

01

Updates

WordPress, plugins and themes all change on their own schedules. Leave them and you accumulate risk; apply them blind and you break things. Both need a human deciding.

02

Backups

A backup only counts on the day something goes wrong. "I think the hosting company does it" is not a recovery plan, and nobody discovers otherwise at a convenient moment.

03

Security

Outdated plugins are the most common way small business sites get compromised. You should hear about a problem from us, not from a customer or from Google.

04

Forms

We actually submit your contact forms and confirm the email lands. It is the single most common silent failure we find, and the most expensive.

Before ongoing care starts, we assess the site. WordPress Care covers the ongoing maintenance of a functioning website. If we find existing technical debt — outdated infrastructure, malware, major compatibility problems or work left behind by someone else — we'll quote that once-off before care begins. You'll know the number before you commit to anything.

Care Keeps It Healthy.
Development Helps It Grow.

Worth being plain about the line, so nobody is disappointed later. WordPress Care is maintenance. It does not include:

  • ×New pages
  • ×New functionality
  • ×New products or uploads
  • ×Major content updates or redesigns
  • ×SEO, Google Ads or social
  • ×Custom development

None of that is off the table — it's just quoted separately, so you're never paying a retainer for work you didn't ask for. Need something changed? Tell us and we'll price it.

Need Us To Work On It Too?

Care is the floor, not the ceiling. If you want hands on the site each month as well as eyes on it, step up.

We've Built 452 Of These.

FUTR has been building and maintaining WordPress and WooCommerce websites for South African businesses since 2016 — 520+ brands, 452+ projects. The sites we look after are the same ones we built, and a good number we inherited from someone else.

Questions.

Why does my website need maintenance if I never change it?

Because the software underneath it changes whether you do or not. WordPress, your plugins, your theme and your host's PHP version all update on their own schedules, and they don't always agree with each other. A site that's been untouched for two years is usually the one in the worst shape.

What if my website is already broken?

Then we find out in the initial assessment and quote the repair separately before ongoing care starts. R499/month covers maintaining a working site — it isn't a way to get years of accumulated problems fixed for the price of one month. You'll have the number before you commit.

Are website changes included?

No. Care is maintenance. New pages, new features and content changes are quoted separately, or you step up to Essential or Growth which include a monthly allocation for exactly that.

What happens if an update breaks something?

We fix it. Breakage caused by the updates we manage is included — that's the point of someone applying them deliberately rather than leaving auto-updates to roll the dice.

Do you back the website up?

Weekly, off-site. Off-site matters: a backup living on the same server as the site is not a backup, it's a copy waiting to fail at the same moment.

Do you monitor the website?

Yes — uptime and security monitoring both run continuously, not just when we happen to look.

Do you test contact forms?

Yes, we actually submit them and confirm the email arrives. It's the most common silent failure we see and the one that costs the most, because the enquiries you never receive are invisible.

Can I cancel?

Monthly, with notice. No annual contract.

Do you host the website too?

Care works on whatever hosting you're already on. We'll tell you honestly if your host is the actual problem.

Can you take over a site built by another agency?

Often, yes — a good portion of what we maintain we didn't build. It goes through the same initial assessment, which sometimes turns up work that needs quoting first.

Does this cover WooCommerce?

Not automatically at R499. E-commerce sites carry payment gateways, stock, orders and customer data, and the maintenance load is genuinely heavier. We'll look at your store and quote properly rather than pretend it fits a standard plan.
